A sunset was quickly shot from -40o poured hot tea

Hot water will freeze immediately if the temperature is lowest. Michael Davies changes this usual phenomenon into a part of photographic art; therefore, he spend 20 kilometers away from where he is, to snap the midday sun which couldn’t drive away the -40o cold, and he hired his friend to make the exact tea tossing. “Prepared with multiple thermoses filled with tea, we began tossing the water and shooting,” Davies said in an online interview. “Nothing of this shot was to chance, I followed the temperature, watched for calm wind, and planned the shot and set it up. Even the sun in the middle of the spray was something I was hoping for, even though it’s impossible to control.” More info: michaelhdavies.com | flickr (h/t: boredpanda) | demilked
